"While out for my morning walk one Saturday I fainted.  Rescue brought  me to the emergency room at Mercy Hospital.  I really never had any kind of relationship with the Hospital.  I knew no one there and no one knew me.  I was in the Hospital for 4 days.  Seldom have I ever been treated with such professionalism and caring.  Everyone from attendant up to the Physicians who cared for me were dedicated professionals.  Mercy Hospital is truly a great organization.  We're lucky to have them in our community.

EXPANDING THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

In 2007, Mercy Hospital completed a major renovation and expansion of its Emergency Department. The two-story M.B. Fernandez Family Emergency Pavillion is three times the size of the prior facility with 32 available beds, including eight in the Minor Care area of the facility. The renovation also incorporates the latest medical technologies and creates separate entrances for emergency vehicles and walk-in emergencies. The Emergency Department expansion represents another step in Mercy's commitment to constantly strive to provide the highest level of care to all patients.
